  • Access to easy healthcare: Skip the waiting room! We provide at-work health check-ups with an occupational nurse and a doctor.

  • Focus on physical health: Whether you visit our on-site gym, work with our personal trainer to define goals and good habits, or take advantage of our online exercise program, we want our employees to prioritize their physical well-being.

4. Flexible work models

Flexibility looks different for everyone, whether you’re working on the manufacturing floor or in the office, we provide four flexible ways of working at Stryker. For our operations team members, our manufacturing plant runs on three shifts, supporting opportunities to work different schedules when the need/opportunity arises. For employees whose job function is not contingent on being on-site every day, we offer the flexibility to work from home or in the office when the business requires it.

5. Our gift to you: A day off for your birthday

Birthdays are worth celebrating properly. Enjoy your birthday with the day off every year. Take time to refresh, relax, and refocus.

6. We celebrate a diverse and inclusive workplace

We embrace the meaning of diversity by fostering an open and inclusive culture. Creating a workplace environment where employees feel valued, respected, and accepted. At Stryker in Arroyo, we are excited to offer two employee resource groups, Stryker’s Women’s Network and Stryker’s Allies for Equality. These two groups support our focus on a diverse culture that promotes equality.

  • We are proudly W-Certified by Women Who Lead for three years in a row! This certification validates our commitment to supporting the growth of women in science and engineering.

  • We partner with college programs to focus on women starting their careers in STEM jobs, including Get By STEM a summer camp for girls exploring STEM careers.

7. Office amenities to support better balance

Our facility is over 220k ft and includes many amenities that support our employees’ daily lives. Whether you’re looking for a great bite to eat, or hoping to squeeze in a workout, you’ll find it here. Throughout the year, the cafeteria will rotate menus to celebrate different events such as Restaurant Week, National Pizza Week, National Hot Breakfast Month and more. The fitness center is open 24/7, allowing you to exercise when it works with your schedule. Need to run to the bank? Not here, we offer ATMs and an internal bank Co-Op. If that wasn’t enough, our site also includes an infirmary, an outside terrace, and a dedicated space for nursing mothers.

Fun fact:

One of our conference rooms is named after Samuel Morse, the American inventor of the telegraph. Morse was known to love the Island of Puerto Rico and its weather, even visiting in 1858 to inaugurate a two-mile telegraph line, making Arroyo the first town on the island to have a wire.
