8 reasons to love Stryker in India

Updated: Oct 9

With a vision to drive global innovation and accelerate product development, the Stryker Global Technology Center (SGTC) was established in 2006 and grew to include Information Services in 2010. Here are 8 reasons to join our team in India:

1. We value your well-being

Take advantage of your 18 days of annual leave (adjusted for new hires) to take regular breaks for self-care. Plus, rest easy knowing that comprehensive healthcare coverage is available for you and up to three family members, including your spouse, children and parents or parents-in-law. Emergencies? No worries – you've also got seven days of paid casual leave at your disposal.

2. Our perks and benefits are pretty exciting

We've got some cool perks lined up for you. Get reimbursed for your mobile phone and internet bills up to a certain monthly limit. Plus, enjoy tax reliefs through the voluntary national pension scheme (NPS).

3. We invest in your continued development

We're committed to helping you reach your goals. Access LinkedIn Learning modules to develop skills that'll help you own your career at Stryker. And if you're looking to level up, we've got education assistance to support your continued learning for your current or future role.

4. We know family is important

We're committed to fairness and equality. Maternity leave (26 weeks) and partner leave (10 days) is extended to all employees, including those in domestic partnerships, like single parents, LGBTQIA+ partners and common-law partners.

5. We value an inclusive culture

Stryker has nine employee resource groups (ERGs) – many of which have a local chapter in our India office, including Stryker’s Allies for All Abilities (3A), Stryker’s Women’s Network (SWN), Women in Science and Engineering (WISE), Stryker’s Allies for Equality (SAFE), Stryker’s Emerging Professionals (SEP) and Stryker’s Veteran’s Association (SVA). These ERGs provide opportunities for our employees to forge deeper connections and understanding and create a more engaged workforce.

6. We know you’re a shining star

“Stryker Superstar” is an India based recognition platform where employees can send ecards to each other, and managers and above can share reward points to recognize people and share appreciation certificates.

7. We support career breaks

Our #NewBeginning program supports candidates who have taken career breaks in their re-entry to the workforce. Employees can also take advantage of the sabbatical program which allows employees who have spent 3+ years at Stryker to take a break to pursue their passion.

8. We love to celebrate

The India office hosts fun and inclusive celebrations for holidays like Diwali and Holi, allowing employees to celebrate with their colleagues and enjoy special foods and treats.

Fun fact:

Each year our employees in India participate in an Asia Pacific wide move-a-thon called “Go the Distance”, where they walked, ran, sailed or cycled the distance from our offices in India to New Zealand, raising enough funds for Operation Smile. In 2023, these efforts raised enough funds to cover 122 surgeries.
