We’re proud to offer employee resource groups (ERGs) dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Annual events include the Great Adventure Challenge, a corporate adventure challenge to benefit a local charity, and our Mardi Gras/Pride office party, which is thrown by the local Stryker's Allies for Equality (SAFE) chapter.
2. We support working caregivers
We know that growing your family is one of the biggest and most exciting times of your life, and at Stryker, we want you to be able to step away from work with confidence! Stryker’s team in the South Pacific is proud to offer our employees 20 weeks of paid leave for a child’s primary caregiver and 4 weeks of paid leave for secondary caregivers. On top of this we offer up to 12 months of paid Superannuation and the best part is there is no tenure eligibility. We want to support you on your life journey as it happens. Our leave policy includes families adopting children or having a child via surrogate. We also offer eligible employees a financial contribution towards childcare to assist in a smooth transition back to work following the return of parental leave.
3. Health and wellness support
Trying to find the time to work out and balance your professional life? At our national headquarters in Sydney, we have an on-site fitness center, comfortable on-site showers, changing facilities, and ironing stations, so you can work out when it aligns with your schedule.
We have also partnered with multiple health insurance organizations allowing our employees to receive extra benefits on their insurance, including optional free annual flu vaccinations for all our employees in Australia and New Zealand

Take advantage of Stryker’s flexible ways of working, we empower and trust our leaders and employees to find the right solutions to meet their needs.
5. Spend a day volunteering
One thing that makes Stryker employees one-of-a-kind is their love of making a difference. Which is why we offer all permanent employees one day off a year to give back to their community and volunteer.
6. The gift of time
Enjoy a day off on us. We’re excited to offer all permanent employees an engagement day.
An Engagement Day is an extra day of paid vacation for all permanent employees that you can use to do something special with your friends, family, or for yourself. This is our way of recognizing the hard work and dedication our team members show every day by giving you the precious gift of time. This is not a day to get all your chores done - it is a chance for you to take time out for yourself and the things that are important to you.
7. Grow your skills and take your career to the next level with us
One of our core values is people. We grow talent. Across Stryker, we believe learning and upskilling are significantly linked to our employees’ well-being and career growth. As a strengths-based organization, development and coaching are a big part of our daily culture. Permanent employees are eligible to apply for educational assistance that would enhance their career at Stryker after 12 months of continuous employment.
8. We want our employees to love what they do.
To support this, we have created an internal mobility program that helps our team members find new opportunities to build their careers – it can be a geographical, functional, lateral or vertical move – whatever helps you flourish. We also look to find internal promotion opportunities where possible.
Fun fact: Our team members have formed their own bands and started running clubs at their offices. Our employees are always looking for innovative ways to get involved and have some fun with colleagues.
