Ready to take your next big step?

At Stryker, we’re proud to support veterans and service members as they transition from military to civilian careers through our Military Intern Program. Since 2018, we've partnered with the Department of Defense's SkillBridge program, offering a direct pathway from military service to fulfilling civilian roles in areas like Sales, Operations, Supply Chain and Engineering.

How the SkillBridge program works

Join another mission that matters.

Service members can participate in the SkillBridge program during their last 180 days of active duty, gaining hands-on experience in dynamic roles while continuing to receive their military compensation and benefits. This program allows you to build on the leadership and problem-solving skills developed in the military and apply them to civilian careers that match your expertise and strengths.

Why veterans choose Stryker for civilian careers

Veterans bring exceptional qualities like leadership, teamwork and determination—traits that align perfectly with Stryker's mission to improve healthcare. We understand that the transition from military to civilian roles can be challenging, but at Stryker, we provide the support and resources veterans need to succeed. Many interns go on to full-time careers with us, contributing to life-changing innovations from day one.

Veteran success stories

Veterans at Stryker come from diverse military backgrounds, bringing invaluable skills to their roles. Former SkillBridge interns share their experiences transitioning from military service to civilian careers.

Navy to Stryker’s Project Management Team

After 10 years in the US Navy, Lieutenant Scott G. successfully transitioned into civilian life through Stryker's Military Intern Program. During his internship, Scott applied his military leadership skills to the fast-paced world of medical devices. Reflecting on his first year at Stryker, Scott shared:

 - Scott G. | Project Manager | United States

Prior US Navy service member.

"One thing I want other service members to realize about Project Management at Stryker is it’s something you’re likely already skilled at. I had minimal formal Project Management experience in the Navy, but I quickly adapted by leveraging my leadership positions among squadrons and ships. Now, I’m part of motivated project teams with leaders from all over the world. I highly encourage anyone in the military to consider Stryker’s Project Management Team as your first civilian job."  - Scott G. | Project Manager | United States

Finding a Civilian Career Through SkillBridge

Like many transitioning service members, Jason S. had uncertainty about his next steps. While exploring opportunities, he discovered Stryker through a military connection, leading him to a SkillBridge internship that helped him transition successfully.

- Jason S. | Field Operations Manager | United States

Veteran Stryker employee.

"What stood out to me was the similarity between the military and Stryker’s fast-paced, high-achieving environment. Everyone is mission-driven, working toward a common goal, and pushing each other to be better. I knew I wanted to be a part of that long-term."  - Jason S. | Field Operations Manager | United States
